Gujarat will be officially inaugurate and opening the National Games 2022 on 29TH of September. Today PM Modi will be officially announcing the opening of the National games in a function which is going to be attended by Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra and PV Sindhu.
The opening ceremony will be telecasted live at DD SPORTS and Prasarbharti YouTube channel. This time around 7000 athletes will be participating from around 28 states and Union territory, as the nation this year is organizing the 36th National games and keeping in mind this time 36 sports are included.
The biggest disappointment is that the Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra will not be able to participate in the National games as he is recovering from an injury, however he performed garba during the Navaratri festival in one of the famous venues across the city, after playing garba he also addressed the crowd.
National games are starting from today 29th of September and will last till 12th of October, we will be able to watch and follow our desired sports from the DD Sports channel and from the YouTube channel of Prasarbharti. The games are organized in 6 different major cities of the state including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara.

While talking about the National games Gujarat’s sports minister said “We wrote to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) of our wish to host the Games in Gujarat in September and we were asked if it was possible. We invited the IOA members and gave our plan, which they accepted.”
