According to the latest updates from the National Highways Authority of India, Country is all set to hoist its Tallest Tricolour which will be taller than the flag of Pakistan too at the Atari border. The tricolour will be 418 feet higher. If talking about the present flag, the height of the present flag is of 360 Feet and was installed around 5 years back that is in 2017 and costed around Rs 3.5 Crore.
This decision taken would result in intensifying the flag war with Pakistan as the country installed a 400 feet tall flag adjacent to the Wagha borders as Tit for Tat to India in the same year, but now India is all set to install a taller flag which is around 18 feet longer than the present Pakistan’s flag.

After getting the approval from the Central and State governments NHAI hired a contractor based on the project and the tenure. “We have approved the contract and the work for the flag’s installation will begin probably in 15-20 days. The location of installing the flag is not yet decided, but as per the suggestion of Border Security Force (BSF) officials, it is most likely to be nearer the spectators’ gallery of the joint check post (JCP).
The present Indian flag is not properly visible to the people coming for witnessing the Beating Retreat ceremony due to the height of the gallery’s building,” said the NHAI official. Further the official said that the work for the flag will most probably be completed in this month and soon the instalment will be started, the project will be supervised by Project director Sunil Yadav.

A BSF official said, “Many spectators had been demanding to increase the height of our national flag, which looks smaller than the Pakistani flag. With the installation of the new flag, spectators will have no complaint, but a cheerful mood.” I talking about the work of NHAI, the organization is presently working on the beatification of the border which will be becoming the centre of attraction for all the tourists who visits Punjab.
