Indian Airforce day : significance, Celebration, History.
Indian Airforce day is being celebrated on 8th of October every year since 1932, and this year will be celebrating 90th anniversary of the same. As Indian Air force is the 4th largest air force across the world after US, China and Russia. This day is celebrated all over the country and in all the air force stations across the country in full enthusiasm in order to celebrate the work done by Indian air force to make the country feel secure.

History of Indian Airforce :
Ever wondered why is Indian Airforce day celebrated on this particular day? This is because Indian air force was first established on 8th of October 1932, and since then the country is celebrating the day as Indian Airforce day. An the 1st AC flight came into force from 1st of April 1933. And since then this day is being celebrated across the country in different ways, but the most common way to be celebrated is Air shows and the Parades, all these things are being done in order to increase the awareness of people towards the same.
as we all know that Indian Airforce is being responsible for all the air force activities and takes care of any clashes that happens and there fore now it is also responsible for the security of the country along with Indian army and Navy. Indian Airforce brought its main bravery in action during the Waziristan war against tribal, and actually showed its power during the 2nd world war. After so many achievements and helping the neighbouring countries in their difficult time, Indian Airforce got a prefix for itself, and thereafter it was called as “Royal Indian air force.”
Celebrating Indian Airforce Day :
This year the country is celebrating 90th Airforce day, in order to celebrate the day IAF will hold a parade at the Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad where it showcases its air power. nearly 80 planes, including a single-engine MiG-21, will put on a grand show at Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh.
