The festival which literally translates into 9 nights(Navratri) has finally approached, the festival which is largely celebrated in various other forms across the country has now approached and the exitment among the people across the country wide especially in Gujrat can be seen. The festival which literally means 9 nights of Goddess Durga celebrates the 9 different avatars of her.
People across the state of Gujrat eagerly wait for the festival the whole year in order to celebrate the festival and most importantly to enjoy the Garba which is the traditional dance form which is danced in front of the idol of Maa Durga and the feast which is the most awaited thing among all. People across the country keep fasts and engage themselves in worshipping the Maa Durga and all of them are engaged in the traditional music and dance form to impress the goddess in these auspicious 9 days of festival.
No doubt this festival is special in itself, but do you know what is special in this year’s Navratri? Noting new that people across the country get excited every year for such a special and auspicious festival but this year the excitement is obviously a bit different and there should be as the Navratri is being celebrated to its fullest after 2 years of Pandemic and finally the Central government has given permission to celebrate the festival of lights and colour publicly for what the festival is all meant for, this reason brings up the excitement among people this year as they will be able to celebrate and do garba to their fullest which was being missed by everyone since the last couple of years due to the pandemic.

The festival this year starts from 26th of September and will go till 5th of October, the festival for which Gujratis are known not only across the country but across the world starts from the Aarti or the pooja which is performed by everyone along with their family members to seek their blessings , a beautiful earthen pot which is especially used for the purpose of Aarti is the most important part of attraction, another thing done traditionally is the traditional dance form popularly known as Garba which is vey popular across the world because of its beauty, people dress up in traditional garba attire in order to dance in front of Maa Durga.
It will be very interesting to see what will be the level of craze among people from today in order to celebrate the festival, as this is the 1st time after the covid pandemic that everything is being celebrated in such a normal way.
