Great Initiative taken by Delhi Government : Green war room launched in order to monitor air pollution.
A great initiative has been taken by the Delhi government in order to monitor the air pollution 24 hours, recently the Green war room was launched by Delhi’s environment minister on Monday so that the air pollution can be checked by the government now quite often, the officials will now be monitoring the air pollution across the city by sitting in the room in order to keep the AQI under control.
The Green war room will b looked after a team of around 2 members including Scientists, experts and engineers and the in charge of the green war room will be B.M.S. Reddy, who is also the Environmental scientist of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC). Further while talking about the green war room he added “A nine member team will assist them and work on the complaints received from the Green Delhi App and ensure implementation of the same in sync with other departments.”

As the Delhi government has seen a certain level of success in curbing the air pollution in the last 10 years, another effort has being made in order to make such efforts even more effective. Presently around 54,156 complains have been registered by the residents of city living in different localities on the green app, and out of those companies around 90% of the complaints have be addressed by them so far.
Just after inaugurating the Green War room the Environment minister said in one of his interviews that “We have launched an advanced Green War Room from today and it will work round the clock, it will manage the air pollution level and will ensure that the necessary actions has being taken in order to curb the pollution in accordance with amended GRAP.”
