Happy Birthday Rekhaji : Struggle behind her success.

Born as Bhanu Rekha Ganesan, daughter of a Tamil Superstar and Small time Telegu actress, grewup with no support of her father, she was agedly neglected by her father all her life. Living with her mother in Chennai, she was initially forced to be in the acting business in order to help her mother in household. She made her debut at the age of 12 in Telegu film, 3 years after her film debut she made up to the lead role in a kannada film. After working in the South film industry and earning fame there, she finally moved to Bollywood and made her appearance in her 1st Bollywood film “Sawan Bhado”1970.
She became the part of all the successful movies in those days, but remained the least priority of everyone due to her dark completion. In the initial phase of her career in Bollywood, she faced a lot of rejections in her love life other than the work life. Her name was taken with all of her co- stars back then, Later on She married to one of her Co-star Vinod Mehra, however his mother was not in favour of that marriage, this disappointment didn’t last the marriage and once again she got papped with other actors in the town. Meanwhile she worked with Amitabh Bacchan, and a lot of controversy came up n their relationship in those days, They first worked together in Do Anjaane (1976, they did Namak Haram in 1973 both were not paired together). Soon she started paying attention on her physic which changed her physical appearance. In 1990, she married a Delhi-based businessman Mukesh Agarwal. Sadly, this too would prove to be short-lived as he reportedly committed suicide while she was away in London.

She lives a quiet life in Bandra in Mumbai and is known to be close to stars from her generation like Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi, Rakesh Roshan among others. She depends on her secretary Farzana and has been making appearances in her trademark gold Kanjeevaram saris and heavy jewellery (that is how a millennial will see her today) at various film events.
Rekha one of the living legend in the country, and she never fails and never disappoints her fans and loved ones with her amazing acting and dancing skills.
