QR Code soon to be printed on Medicines : Check the authenticity of the medicines.

The thought of weather the medicines consumed by us is safe or not might have crossed your mind, don’t worry the solution is soon to be launched. A great initiative is to be soon taken by the Indian Government as the government is soon going to bring up the ‘Track and Trace’ mechanism in order to check the authenticity of each and every drug or the medicine we consume, and in order to do so each an every pack of the medicine will be containing a quick response (QR) code on it, which can be used by the consumers in order to check the authenticity of medicines prior having it.

While talking on the new concept to be brought up in the market the government made it clear that the concept was introduced a decade ago will be soon released up to April next year. Initially the QR Code will be fixed on the top most used and selling medicines in the 1st phase which will be including the jars, tubes, packs and other top 300 mediacies sold across the country.


Further the recent reports have said that the implementation of the plan would increase the cost of medicines by 3-4%, once the mechanism is being placed the consumers will e able to trace and track the authenticity of the product by the mobile phones and the text message. This initiative is being taken by e government in order to lower the risk of patients who mostly rely on mediacies and also to stop the selling of wrong and unauthorised medicines and drugs without prior permission.
