ShivSena receives new party symbol .

ShivSena the very famous regional party of Maharashtra was given its new party symbol by the election commission on Tuesday. The election commission provided the new symbol of “two swords and shield” to the party led by Eknath Shinde for the upcoming Andheri (East) Assembly constituency byelection.
This time the group will be known by the name ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’, approved by Election commission on Monday, n the symbol will be used until the commission decides dispute between the Shinde group and the faction led by Uddhav Thackeray for control of the Shiv Sena name and symbol.


The election commission provided the lighting torch as a symbol to Thackeray faction, on the other had the symbols submitted by the Sinde group were not accepted by the Election commission and they were asked to submit other options by Tuesday morning and finally the symbol of ‘dhal talwar’ until the dispute is being soughed. The Shinde group submitted two options – the ‘sun’ and the ‘dhal talwar’. In its letter to Mr. Shinde on Tuesday, the EC said the ‘sun’ symbol could not be allotted to the group as it resembled the symbols of Zoram Nationalist Party of Mizoram (sun without rays) and the DMK in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (rising sun).
Reacting to the new party symbol and name that was allotted to it by the Election Commission, a leader from Uddhav Thackeray’s faction said it was a major victory for his faction. “We are happy, consider this major victory. We are happy that the three names that matter to us most – Uddhav ji, Balasaheb and Thackeray – are retained in the new name.”
This will be more interesting to see, which of the group will be elected by the people of Mumbai .
